THE JONES TWMPATH BAND
The Jones Twmpath Band have travelled across Wales, Scotland and New Zealand with their modern spin on a traditional Welsh ‘twmpath’. A ‘twmpath’ is a traditional Welsh barn dance involving a live folk band and a caller (a person who teaches and calls the dances)- similar to a Ceilidh. The dances would happen in village halls across rural Wales, and the whole village would dance together. But, according to Wikipedia… 70s DISCOS KILLED THE TWMPATH!! So we are bringing it back with flamethrowers mother f*****s! With the help of some folk, reggae and Rihanna!
Expect it to be messy, bumpy, sweaty, chaotic…and incredible!
This is how The Jones Twmpath Band do a night out to remember.
